The shooting star is a beautiful and hard to find flower. They are very picky about where they will live, prefering damp ground. We hike the mountains of Colorado and the western North America quite a bit and believe me these flowers are a treat when you find them, We found these along an open drainage which is kinda unusual so I thought an unusual little Calliope Hummingbird would fit just right.
